Most East Naples residents treat August as the dead month, the one you power through with delivery and a subscription to the tennis channel. That read is a year out of date. Between Davis Boulevard, the Shops of Eagle Creek, and 3940 City Gate Boulevard, East Naples has quietly assembled a summer rotation that is more interesting than what downtown is running, and the window to lock it in before the snowbird calendar takes over closes in about six weeks.
Here is what actually opened, what is playing, and how to string it together.
The Davis Boulevard reset happened while you were away
The corner of Davis and Santa Barbara has been a functional but forgettable strip for two decades. That changed on May 28, when Adoré Bar & Cucina quietly opened as the second restaurant in that same East Naples center for the Hoxhas, the Albanian-American family that launched GG Brunch Haus early last year. The space itself is the interesting part. A new Italian restaurant has transformed an anchor space of a retail strip that was home to Pelican Larry's Raw Bar and Grill for nearly 20 years on the north side of Davis Boulevard east of Santa Barbara Boulevard. The renovation process took nearly a year because the Hoxhas changed everything in the place from the kitchen to the restrooms and everything in between.
Two practical notes for a resident. First, the family already runs GG Brunch Haus in the same center, which means one parking lot now covers breakfast and a full Italian dinner service. Second, the Hoxhas relocated to Naples after operating a similar breakfast-lunch restaurant near Ann Arbor, Michigan, for many years, which shows up on the plate as restraint. This is not a themed room chasing a national concept.
Eagle Creek and Promenade Plaza are next
Two more openings are already scheduled along U.S. 41 East, and both matter more for a resident than the average opening because they are second locations from operators who already have a track record in this market.
A second location of Casa Cotzelli is coming to the former BurgerFi end unit in the Shops of Eagle Creek off U.S. 41 East, with dinner entrées like Maiale in Crosta di Pistacchio, pork loin in a pistachio crust with gorgonzola and potatoes. The North Naples original books out on Friday nights from November through April. An East Naples twin means residents south of Rattlesnake Hammock can stop making the drive.
Around the Airport-Pulling and Estey intersection, Saigon To Paris Restaurant, Bar & Bakery is targeted to open during the second week in December in Promenade Plaza on the southeast corner of Airport-Pulling Road and Estey Avenue. It is the second helping of Saigon To Paris in East Naples from Danny Tham, a Saigon native who grew up in France.
And in the former Mother Truckers Cafe on U.S. 41 East, sisters Ana and Lesly Ovalle are bringing their Ovalle's Delicias lunch truck into a brick-and-mortar as Que Chilero, with Latin food that leans Guatemalan, including shucos, which are made with steak, sausage, cabbage and avocado. Three openings, three independent operators, one four-mile stretch of road. That is the story.
FC Naples has a home stand you can actually walk into
The professional soccer team most people still think of as "the new thing" is halfway through its second season, and the August-through-October home stand is the last chance to see a match without the season-ticket resale market compressing the good seats. Paradise Coast Sports Complex sits at 3940 City Gate Boulevard North, Naples, FL 34117, and the 3,500-seat stadium, expandable to 5,000, opened in December 2020 as the epicenter of competition and entertainment in Collier County.

Two dates are worth circling. The Oct 3 match against New York Cosmos will pull the biggest gate of the fall for name-recognition reasons alone. And the Labor Day weekend fixture on Sept 5 against Athletic Club Boise is the one where an early-arriving resident can turn the evening into two things at once, because the venue that shares the parking lot is where the next section starts.
Saturday nights at The Cove, before the tournament crowds return
Attached to the stadium is a separate venue that most residents do not realize is walk-in accessible without a match ticket. The Cove Outdoor Bar and food truck pavilion at Paradise Coast Sports Complex is East Naples' newest social hot spot, with great food, cold drinks and family-friendly entertainment for people in town for a tournament or living in the area. Come out to the outdoor bar with a full liquor menu, great views, sunsets, lit fireplaces, free corn hole, free ping pong and live entertainment on most Saturday evenings, and check the website calendar for performances for the Live @ The Cove music promotion.
The recurring format is straightforward: live music each Saturday night at The Cove Outdoor Beer and Wine Bar from 6 to 9 PM. The address is 3920 City Gate Blvd. N, Naples, FL 34117, which is a two-minute walk from the stadium gate. On a match Saturday, park once, do The Cove from five to seven, walk over for kickoff.
The mechanism most residents miss: The Cove is priced and programmed for the people already here, because the tournament traffic that drives the venue's math does not really return until October. For roughly the next eight weekends, the bar is running as a neighborhood porch.
The Bayshore alternative when you want the water
If sports and stadium concourse are the wrong texture for a given evening, the other East Naples pole is the canal end of Bayshore Drive. Set along the Bayshore canals, Celebration Park brings together chef-driven food trucks, handcrafted cocktails, and live entertainment in a waterfront setting; founded by Rebecca Maddox, the park captures the relaxed and flavorful side of Naples. Two calendar hooks residents underuse: Tequila Tuesdays and Wine Wednesdays are the weekly specials, and on Wednesdays, house wine is $6 all day long. A four-truck dinner on a Wednesday with two glasses of wine lands under thirty dollars a head, which is a rounding error compared with a comparable downtown check in February.
A weekend the neighborhood actually owns
Put it together and the late-summer weekend that used to require a drive up to Mercato or a table on Fifth Avenue South is now stitched together inside a six-mile triangle.

None of that existed as a coherent option three summers ago. The Adoré space was Pelican Larry's. The Cove had not started its live music promotion. FC Naples was a rumor. The reason to build the rotation now, rather than after Thanksgiving, is that every one of these rooms will be harder to walk into once the seasonal population arrives. The independents will tighten their booking windows once they see what February can absorb. The stadium will start selling out the Saturday fixtures once the tournament calendar overlaps with the match schedule. Celebration Park's Wednesday-wine math changes when the parking lot fills.
The residents who benefit most from an East Naples summer are the ones who treat August as a planning month, not a holding month.
